WHAT CAN I DO?

• The biggest thing one can do is practice Healthy Transportation and encourage other to do the same!

• Ride your bike to work. If it’s too far, park where there is ample space outside of the congested downtown area and walk in.

Promote positive images of cyclists and pedestrians. Follow the rules of the road.

• Attend SHTN meetings and group events.

Join our Yahoo! Groups Listserv.

• Attend city council and city planning meetings to voice your opinion – your opinion does matter!

• Support the businesses who participate in the Bicycle Benefits Program.

• Write to the papers and politicians with your concerns.

• Educate the general public about the rights and responsibilities of pedestrians, cyclists and drivers who share the road.

• Encourage your employer to promote healthy transportation and accommodation of cycling in the workplace.
